Melis Yilmaz
I was born on December 4th, 1997 in TURKEY. I completed my high school education in my hometown, Sivas.
In 2015, I started my academic education at Ihsan Dogramaci Bilkent University, Department of Communication & Design. During my education, I attended Bournemouth University (Bournemouth, England, UK) to study Film course for 6 months as an exchange student, in 2018. I completed two internships during my undergrad years, one in Istanbul, TR, and the other in Tilburg, Netherlands.
I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in August 2019.
I was a traineeship as a Digital Media Visual Designer in a natural cosmetics company in Amsterdam, Netherlands. (Feb 2020 - July 2020) This experience truly led me to my Graphic Design journey. After this, I worked in various companies and with various customers, full-time and as a freelancer.
Currently, I'm a full-time graphic designer at Despatch Cloud's Marketing Department. I work as a joker element within the company where I both function as the social media designer and also the designer who's actively participating in UI and other design needs.
My full-time role doesn't stop me from pursuing being involved in various freelance projects so that I grow as a designer, meet new people, and learn more!
As a designer, my creativity is fed by traveling and the multicultural structure of the world. A new I see, a new person I meet, or even a different milk carton I see at a supermarket in a different country, excites me. And this excitement motivates me to produce.
I am very enthusiastic about working in the media industry and looking forward to new opportunities.
